GDL recieves an "EXCELLENT" at Brookwood Bronco Marching Classic.
GDL has consistently received Excellent to Superior marks throughout the 2000 Season. With the close of the season, emphasis will be placed on concert percussion and techniques, but plans are already being put together for the 2001: A GDL Oddysey!

The 2000 Repertoire:

Primary Cadence: "Wheelchair" a derivitive of the famous SCV cadence "Electric Wheelchair."

Auxiliary cadences: "Jungle Love" based on the classic "Spider;" "Phantom 89"-- self explanatory; "Get Some" a variant of "Spider" used for exiting the field due to the repetitious bass parts; "B2K" a re-mix of an old Gainesville classic cadence "Matt 1, 2, 3" named for Brian White, drum captain. Includes "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Another One Bites the Dust." "Huevos" an entrance cadence by Eugene Fambrough, instructor for the 1995 University of Alabama drumline, of which Billy Griffith was a member.

Beats: "J5" a funky beat invented by Brandon Sewell based on a song by Juvenile "Play it while you're hatin';" "Shut Up" played with the low brass; "We Ready" another one played with the low brass.

GDL really gets the stadium going, no questions about that!!!

Warm Ups:

Classic "8's"-- but ours involves a building into doubles, triples, and fours.
